With skewed perceptions around the chances Burnley created against Liverpool, is The Reds’ defence playing with fire or doing its job? IS there anything quite like the fume of football fans when the linesman fails to raise their flag for a clear and obvious...
With Liverpool’s backup forwards stepping up, plus returnees and reinforcements onboard, The Reds are set up to attack the month ahead… BETWEEN the months of August and May much of our life is both literally and emotionally dependent on football....
Liverpool sprung a surprise with the signing of Luis Diaz on Friday, but it reinforced the idea that The Reds are looking to the future… NEVER judge a book by its cover, and never judge a player by their YouTube compilations. Two things I know to be true,...
Liverpool’s unpredictability was invaluable to them throughout January, and Fabinho’s scoring streak was right at the heart of that… A LOT can change in a week in football. That’s got to be one of the worst cliches, hasn’t it? But I’m not...
Despite several setbacks in their attempts to stay in the Premier League title race, Liverpool can still have high hopes for this season… I RARELY leave the ground straight after the full time whistle goes. After a win I love it when the players walk...
As Mo Salah and Sadio Mane jet off to the African Cup of Nations, how will Liverpool look to line up without their two goalscoring stars? AND everybody breathe… No, I’m not writing notes for a meditation class, I just think everybody (including myself) could do...
With Covid fears ravaging through any stability this Liverpool squad had established, they have to try and embrace the chaos once again… IN footballing terms, that feeling you get when coming out of lockdown is most comparable to a 2-1 scoreline. The...
Liverpool kept their cool to secure three points against Aston Villa, and their recent form shows how much patience is a virtue for The Reds… SOMETIMES it’s OK to entertain the idea that the world is going to implode. Trust me when I say I pressed...

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
