I MEAN, how the fuck is this a thing? Look at the team, it was genuinely arlarse this. It was men against boys in a literal sense. Two minutes in we looked alright and I thought ‘scrap that, let’s get into these Brummy bellends’. Honestly though, if...

“NO time for losers.” That’s what Freddie Mercury tells us, and Liverpool fans fully agreed with him as they belted out We Are The Champions after last season’s Champions League win in Madrid. There is absolutely no time for any losers, because of course, “We are the...
THIS is unchartered territory. The vagaries of our fixture schedule have all but forced Jürgen Klopp into sacrificing a competition. The League Cup is the fall guy. To be fair, it’s used to being the ugly duckling trophy in which the big clubs field their squad...

DECEMBER is the cruellest month. Not everyone likes Christmas. Some love it, but for many it’s a painful time to negotiate. Maybe it’s like the final frames of It’s A Wonderful Life for you. I hope so, but I prefer to compare it to the main section of the film where...

The Pub Crawlers Podcast: What’s The Best Pub In Liverpool? (S1E12)
The final episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded at Peter Kavanagh’s in Liverpool, as Rob Gutmann hosts Emilia Bona and Ashley Jones to discuss the city in the 80s/90s, a love of whiskey, Hitler’s genitals and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
