I HAD a conversation with one of my uncles a few weeks ago. Not newsworthy in itself, obviously, but those who have read my ramblings on here previously might have noticed that when a conversation with one of my uncles is mentioned, it’s usually in relation to a...
Rob Gutmann was joined for the latest ‘Unwrapped’ by Phillips Smallwood, Ian Ryan and Ian Salmon to talk about whether Liverpool, as per speculation from a number of very reputable journalists, will spend big this Summer after years of trying to...
FOLLOWING the Taylor Report in 1990, Liverpool’s impetuous arch rivals Manchester United found themselves in a situation of ponderous limbo in relation to their Old Trafford home. United’s all-standing home had seen its capacity steadily decline since the Second World...
“IF he was not good and a few others were not good then we could not win against Tottenham.” The words of Jürgen Klopp during his pre-match press conference for the Leicester game when answering a question about Gini Wijnaldum and how well he had played against Spurs....
FENWAY Sports Group seem to be the hottest topic surrounding Liverpool Football Club at the minute. There are plenty of people who are against them and have a problem with anything that they do. I can kind of see why that would be the case. We’ve won one trophy since...
OCTOBER 17, 2010. What a time to be alive. Mediocre Liverpool managed by a mediocre manager resided in the relegation zone — floundering in an unthinkable 19th place in the Premier League with just six points won from eight games played. A depressing figure of...
Coutinho: Reds Ready To Bounce Back PHILIPPE Coutinho is looking to put Liverpool’s disappointing week behind and bounce back as Chelsea visit Anfield. The Brazilian featured in all three of the Reds’ home losses but is as eager as anybody to put right the wrongs of...
WATCHING the Reds has been tough over the past month because of poor results and the feeling of the momentum being killed, writes PHIL SMITH. Wednesday night was hard to take and there was a lot of bitterness and anger in the aftermath of the game. On the pitch it was...
REMEMBER the transfer committee? Remember how much we hated it and everything that it bought? Remember how we mistrusted all those shadowy figures that we had never really heard of and whose roles we didn’t really understand? Don’t seem quite so suspicious now that...

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
