ON Friday 29th January, John Gibbons and Andy Heaton bring you a round up of the day’s LFC stories. It’s mainly focussed around Jurgen Klopp’s press conference. He’s given an update on transfers, so we’ve passed it on to you. We also...
WITH West Ham travelling to Anfield for an FA Cup fourth-round clash this weekend buoyed by two comfortable wins over the Reds already this season, The Anfield Wrap’s JACK WHITEHEAD spoke to Hammers fan Michael Oliver, editor of Read West Ham. The Anfield Wrap: West...
WEST Ham United come to Anfield and it all feels very 2001 all of a sudden. I was 20 years old on January 21, 2001 and on January 27, 2001 I was a wreck. Liverpool kicked off against Leeds United at 12 noon and I had been out in Leeds the night before, got lost, fell...
LIVERPOOL are welcoming West Ham. Everton are going to Carlisle. Derby County are hosting Manchester United. It’s The Friday Show where TAW Player gives you everything you need for your weekend of football. In the TAW Studio Neil Atkinson is joined by The...
A LIST of things to start. Benteke’s performance was mad. Enrique really enjoyed himself in the end. And should have been slipped in during that final attack. He’d have buried it and run into the Kop and just got off. Oh Captain my Captain. Feels like...
WELL that was enough for that. Our young lads might not have proved they were good enough for Liverpool’s first team, but they proved they were better than League Two. They passed Exeter off the park and then kicked it in the goal three times. The Grecians (oh...
AS a writer, I have an ego. You can tell from the fact I’ve started with the words “as a writer”. Reeks of ego. I’m looking for engagement, some kind of response. I don’t care if it’s agreement or sheer outrage, I just want that...
THE best thing that has happened to the Reds since New Year’s Day which doesn’t involve Joe Allen is the side Jürgen Klopp selected against Exeter City on a Friday night. It acted as a reminder of two basic points for us all: a) Gang of lads wearing the...
ONE eye on Exeter, one eye on Arsenal, The Anfield Wrap falls between stools, battered by the number of games as much as the manager and the players. Neil Atkinson is joined by Mike Girling and Rob Gutmann to discuss Klopp’s embryonic Reds’s performance in...
THE FA Cup is great, isn’t it? Dead romantic. “The Romance of the Cup” is accepted as standard and is lashed about all over the place. By journalists, by commentators and by the boring arse in everyone’s work who doesn’t really follow footie but...
The Pub Crawlers Podcast: Down The Local with Mo Stewart (S1E5)
The fifth episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded ‘Down The Local’ in Liverpool, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Mo Stewart to discuss worst pub toilet experiences, music in pubs, Glastonbury, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
