NEIL ATKINSON, John Gibbons, Mari Lunde and Martin Fitzgerald record a show in the aftermath of Liverpool’s Joe Allen and Raheem Sterling fired victory against Newcastle United. Expect frustrations from watching Liverpool to be amplified in this immediate post...
THERE was a lot of hysteria in the wake of the Arsenal defeat from sections of the media – which you might expect – and also from a lot of Liverpool fans, which perhaps you might not. Brendan Rodgers found himself under some of the most intense scrutiny since...
IT wasn’t the best Liverpool performance you’ve ever seen. No DVDs will be burned and few will seek out the ‘highlights’ today. There were 7,000 souls in Blackburn, Lancashire, but it wasn’t the best support from those congregated in the Darwen End either. There was...
ON the way to Blackburn, while sat in traffic (EVERYONE was sat in traffic), I checked the odds on the game. I like checking odds — much more than I like actual betting — as I think it gives an interesting indication of where heads are at. Who is fancied...
NEIL Atkinson was joined by Adam Smith and John Gibbons on the road to discuss Liverpool 0-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Sturridge, Sterling, Toure, Lovren and Joe Allen all get discussed as the Reds emphatically celebrated their progression to the...
WE’RE going to Wembley. Whether we like it or not. I’d rather play at Villa Park, even Old Trafford, but anyway. They don’t involve me in these decisions. Reminder: a 5 is alright. The Reds Are Gnarling Up The Hill Boys. SIMON MIGNOLET: 9 That save...
NEIL ATKINSON is joined over the phone by Rob Gutmann to discuss Liverpool’s game against Arsenal. Raheem Sterling inevitably comes up and Neil reads out predictions, hopes and dreams from Twitter DIRECT LINK – TAW PLAYER: PRE MATCH SCOUT – BLACKBURN...
WITH Liverpool making the 40-mile trip to Ewood Park tomorrow night for the FA Cup quarter-final replay, we spoke to Lancashire Telegraph sports reporter PAUL WHEELOCK, who has covered Blackburn Rovers home and away for two-and-a-half years, about the match. How...
BACK in the big room. The Anfield Wrap deals with a frustrating 0-0 with Blackburn by getting into their own space and getting a few more voices in the mix. Neil Atkinson hosts and is joined by Jim Boardman, Rob Gutmann, John Gibbons, Mike Nevin and Mike Girling. What...
FRUSTRATING game. But it’s another game of football to look forward to so Phil Blundell will be pleased. We should win there…hopefully. Anyway. Some letters followed by a number you probably won’t agree with. SIMON MIGNOLET: 6 Was fine. Could have...
The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
