TAW SPECIAL: BEN SMITH ON JÜRGEN KLOPP

Rare appreciation from someone who doesn’t ever communicate how excellent the quality of thE TAW material is, but just consumes it like a beautifully cooked roast dinner day after day after day!!! Top stuff folks. Well worth a fiver a month.
Interesting discussions to be had around the ownership and how they perceive their vision of “success” and how they perceive that, in relation the how the fans perceive it etc, but I’m sure you’re already on it. You usually are. Grand. YNWA
Neil has handed the loaded gun to everyone who has been on TAW this week and they’ve all fired the affirmative bullet. And although you’re never 100% certain when you ask the loaded question of will he or won’t he? that the given response is what the person truly believes.
However in this instance the universal opinion is unanimously with him and that HE WILL and imo it is for the simple reason that when THE ANFIELD FORCE IS WITH YOU success is a mere formality.
With the exception of KK’s second coming, which it’s probably fair to say was views at the time as a temporary salvation appointment, none of us can claim that has been the situation for some considerable time. Not since Rafa’s appointment in 2004. And their lies the evidence of what TOTAL FORCE can achieve when what followed immediately in 2005 after Olympiacos, Leverkusen, Juventus, Chelski and then finally (no punn intended but heh!) at half time in Istanbul after being torn to shreds by Milan in that 1st 45,, and yet the outcome was simply due to the TOTAL FORCE of our support beyond half time which turned to belief in the 54th minute after Stevies goal. Only with LFC is success a given when there are no doubts and the fan base is 100% unanimous in our support and belief of our Leader. History has the evidence. And because there will be no more divides or in fighting, the focal point of the FORCE will be togetherness, of that I am certain.
So Neil, you don’t need to ask WILL HE? It is simply a question of how soon?
YNWA. Keep The Faith
The owners need to back Klopp with not only the £ in transfers but also the £ in the wage structure.
With regards to the owners taking a view on Rodgers, maybe they sounded out Klopp in the summer and he said he was on his break and maybe after West Ham they went back to him and said come on we’ll give you “X” more to come now.
Rodgers was on what £3M a year Klopp now £5M maybe that was the extra bunce to get Klopp to come now.
With the new stand being built and future income on the line and the team slipping backwards all the time it might be that the owners grew some balls and realised that by the end of the season. Arsenal, Chelsea, City could all be looking for new managers and that would muddy the waters somewhat.
As I’ve said we need a bit of genius to get back in the top 4 this year but with Chelsea slipping this might be our chance to do that. If we can get that 4th spot then I agree with Barnes on his pod in the week, the players that’ll kick us on will come for the right wages.
You seriously think the league is that great ..
I don’t care if he gets us relegated. There will be no more ‘outstanding’ and craven selections, no more tactical surrenders. No more derision from mid-table tribes.
The sun has come out.
