Liverpool’s Crappy New Year: Should Jürgen Klopp Kop For Some Criticism?

by Michael Nevin | Mar 3, 2017 | Footie

IT becomes increasingly difficult to make sense of Liverpool’s season as the lurch continues from title contenders at New Year to current outsiders for a spot in the top four. The commonly held current consensus is that the Reds can beat the good teams and not the...

Liverpool: Is It Time For Jürgen Klopp To Make Some Tactical Tweaks?

by Joel Rabinowitz | Mar 1, 2017 | Footie

IN the wake of Liverpool’s 4-0 hammering of Barcelona at Wembley in pre-season, I wrote a piece for The Anfield Wrap about Jürgen Klopp’s tactical blueprint for the new season and how this 4-3-3 shape with a fluid, interchanging front three and a dynamic, energetic...

Liverpool: Which Players Are Fighting For Their Futures Under Jürgen Klopp?

by Dan Morgan | Mar 1, 2017 | Footie

“WE are all trying to improve. Improvement sometimes means to change something; sometimes it just means to wait.” Jürgen Klopp has spoken a lot about young players and their development during his time as Liverpool manager. The quote above from October 2016 when...

Liverpool: Jürgen Klopp’s Side Have No Excuse For Lack Of Fight Against Lesser Sides

by David Segar | Feb 28, 2017 | Footie

SEVEN minutes in and Leicester have a corner. Mark Albrighton swings it in and it doesn’t come to anything, but that was when I started to mentally turn off from the game. Liverpool were going to lose. It wasn’t based on an incident or a goal, but it was a repeat, a...

Liverpool, Net Spend And Squad Size: A Question Of Spending The ‘Right’ Money?

by Paul Cope | Feb 28, 2017 | Footie

“IF he was not good and a few others were not good then we could not win against Tottenham.” The words of Jürgen Klopp during his pre-match press conference for the Leicester game when answering a question about Gini Wijnaldum and how well he had played against Spurs....

Liverpool: Adam Lallana, Divock Origi And Transfer Talk – Teatime Round Up

by Josh Sexton | Feb 22, 2017 | LFC News

Lallana Signs THE club have today officially confirmed that Adam Lallana has signed a new three-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months which will see him earn £110,000-a-week. The England international has seven goals and seven assists this season and...

Liverpool: Jürgen Klopp Is Building A Winning Culture At Anfield – Just Like The Greats Before Him

by Paul Cope | Feb 21, 2017 | Footie

I CHANGED my mind on something this week. I know it’s not the done thing these days to think about something then change your mind. The trend seems to be that we should all pick an opinion on something then stick to it rigidly, closing our eyes and sticking our...

Liverpool: What The Reds Need To Do To Strengthen In Summer

by Phil Blundell | Feb 15, 2017 | Footie

THE season isn’t yet finished but I’ll be honest, I’m already eyeing up the summer and beyond. It’s pretty difficult to downgrade myself to a challenge for a Champions League place because, ultimately, it just isn’t that exciting and the overall goal doesn’t make you...

Liverpool v Weaker Sides: Is It Really A Question Of The Team’s Attitude?

by Paul Cope | Feb 14, 2017 | Footie

“THE team has a bad attitude.” The team loses against a so-called lesser side and the so-called pundits are queueing up to say that the defeat was caused by the “team” having a bad attitude. The same team then draws with the league leaders, coming very close to...

Liverpool’s Form And Roberto Firmino: Time For Klopp To Drop Bob?

by The Anfield Wrap | Feb 10, 2017 | Footie

I’ve always been a little bit too obsessed with the Football Manager series of computer games. Back when I was in my early teens, I used to rush home from school with no other thought in my mind apart from conquering Europe with Italian giants (at the time) A.C....

The Pub Crawlers Podcast: Nottingham (S1E3)

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…

The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.

Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.

The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.

Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.

The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.

Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
