That made for the best ride home I’ve had in ages, well in lads, great interview.
Because he was such a character it is easy to forget what a great player he was, scored some great goals non better than the 7th he scored against spurs. Corner at the Kop end for Spurs Johnston to Highway, Highway to MacDermott goal, looked so simple but brilliant.
As he said they could beat any team in any way they wanted in any stadium in any conditions, they played the best football at times I have and probably will ever see, only the Brazil team of 1984 came close for me.
