GOOD that, wasn’t it, lads? Social media has been pretty enjoyable today, to be honest.

Derby Fallout

A COUPLE of players been talking after the madness of last night.

When quizzed about the away fans, captain Jordan Henderson said: “Coming to Goodison Park, there’s no place you can come really and feel so good. It’s the best place you can win an away game but it’s three points at the end of the day. We can’t get too carried away.”

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane said: “It’s important to score and not concede and that’s what we did in the last two games. We’ve got to keep going that way — why not until the end of the season?”

OH MANE MANE…

Matip’s National Troubles

DON’T worry, it’s good news for Liverpool. Cameroon have confirmed that Joel Matip will not feature in their upcoming African Cup of Nations campaign.

However, here comes the ‘troubles’ bit, the Cameroon Football Federation have said: “These players want to privilege their personal interest to the detriment of the national team, which some of them have already used for their development. The Cameroon Football Federation reserves the right to take action against these players in accordance with FIFA regulations.”

Fuming, there. Must be Blues.

Shaqiri Snub

REMEMBER when we were closely linked with a move for Stoke City’s mercurial man, Xherdan Shaqiri? Loads wanted to sign him. Dunno if most have changed their opinion now, but I’m glad we didn’t. Never looks particularly special for The Potters, barring the odd piece of magic.

Anyway, he has claimed that Liverpool made contact with his former club Bayern Munich about a move in 2014, but the Bundesliga giants refused a transfer. He said: “I wanted to leave that summer and had offers from Liverpool and Atletico. Brendan Rodgers called me several times before the World Cup. But Bayern forbade me to leave.”

Never that bothered to hear these stories about failed transfers. All a process, innit.

About Last Night…

GOT to relive this moment. Absolute scenes, mate.
