Grown up journalists arrive to talk about Liverpool FC itself and covering the club with The Anfield Wrap. Hosted by Melissa Reddy, this show which tends to be monthly, takes a breath and assesses Liverpool’s journey with some of the smartest minds covering the Liverpool patch.
Chelsea are spending big, and the Manchester clubs are spending even bigger. Liverpool, meanwhile, are spending time on the training pitch. Melissa Reddy is joined by the Echo’s James Pearce to talk transfer evaluations, why the strategy in the market is no surprise under Jurgen Klopp, outgoings and plenty more on Full Stop…
In a free clip from the show Melissa and James talk about the aborted move for Mario Gotze.
Great show
James Pearce apparently knows the square root of eff all about football. His comments about Markovic (which were sadly echoed by Melissa, who ought to know better) demonstrate his complete and utter cluelessness about football, tactics, etc.
It’s one thing for regular supporters to be basically clueless about football and to just “believe” and “support”. It’s quite another when someone is earning a living writing about football, and LFC in particular.
I might be wrong (I clearly know the square root of f all) but I think we will find that Klopp shares that view of Markovic and he will be on his way this summer.
