LOSING league cup finals is depressing, and a look at the Premier League table doesn’t cheer you up much either, so we are diving into the Most Exciting League in World Football on The Coach Home.

Starting with Derby County who are 5th but in a bit of a mess according to Joel Clyne from ‘Derby County Podcast’. We talk about the strange decision to sack a lauded manager and not replace him, as well as disappointing seasons for the likes of Tom Ince, Bradley Johnson, Andreas Weimann and Darren Bent. But still, Scott Carson is doing alright and they have Will Hughes back soon, so maybe they’ll make the play offs after all.

We then talk to author Daniel Gray about Middlesbrough, who looked like they might run away with the title a couple of months ago, before remembering that’s not how things are done in The Championship. After a worrying January they are back winning though, helped partly by the exciting new signings of Jordan Rhodes and Gaston Ramirez. Dan tells us his hopes for the rest of the season.

And we all commit to a Tuesday night in Burnley.
