ROB Gutmann is joined for this week’s edition of The Anfield Wrap Unwrapped show by Phil Blundell and Stuart Wright to discuss all the fall out from Tuesday night’s dramatic League Cup semi-final 2nd leg against Stoke.

The Reds are going back to Wembley but Anfield experienced an anxious night. The lads discuss Jürgen Klopp’s team selection and approach, Jon Flanagan’s return, and the team’s evident fatigue and inconsistency.

With an injury stretched squad being squeezed to their absolute limits with Liverpool’s fourth game in nine days, is it fair to expect consistent performance levels, especially with such an aggressive style of play?

The spotlight also falls on forwards Roberto Firmino who had a quiet game, as did Christian Benteke, who yet again looked like a square peg in the round hole of the Liverpool attack.

Also on the agenda is the potential redemption of the Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, whose saves in the penalty shootout, one particularly impressive, confirmed Liverpool’s trip to Wembley.

And with the long list of lameness potentially easing over the coming weeks and Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge potentially nearing fitness, might Liverpool soon be in a position to have quality competition for places?

The Reds, once again, handily placed.

In a free clip from the show Rob, Phil and Stuart talk about who they’d rather face in the League Cup Final, Manchester City or Everton?
