I posted this on RAWK but I’ll do it here.
If The Pink is going to be a raw reaction show we can’t have some who have seen replays and some who haven’t, it makes for a pointless conversation. “I’ve seen it, I’m telling you, he was fucking shite”, brilliant, how can that conversation go anywhere? Yet the Mignolet conversation went on for a good third of the podcast. Don’t get me wrong, he’s shite, it’s besides the point. It was a tedious listen.
Goals are posted on the LFC Subreddit minutes after they go in, you should all easily be able to see them beforehand https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC
Thought that Milner provided a bit of a catalyst for Hendersons performance, defo in 1st half
Nice to hear Mignolet getting a good slagging. One thing a goalkeeper needs is balls yet Mignolet has the demeanor of an u12s goalie playing in full size goals for the first time in his life.
If he remains in goal long term I feel like I will reluctantly have to stop watching us for the first time in 30 odd years yet my biggest fear is that his teammates feel exactly the same.
Too much moaning.
I genuinely thought we’d get slaughtered – so I found the game incredibly exciting.
To fight our way to 3 wholly deserved great goals against the league leaders with the squad in the condition it’s in cannot be overestimated, irrespective of our silly mistakes and weaknesses
Boys boys boys ….. I appreciate the passion around the opportunity for 3 points but COME ON that was easily the best game of the season to watch and you were there ;)
I agree somewhat with the first post re referring to replays however a lot of the excitement of listening in bed with the missus telling me to stop refreshing the page is hearing ‘what it felt like’ to be there whilst I have to watch it on the box.
As a side note amazed that there was no reference to the Caulkner debut. Quite the most bizarre thing to witness ;)
Love the idea d thinking ‘fuck it’ and whispering in his ear to ‘get up top’ and Caulkner wondering what the hell hae’s he got himself into ;)
I also feel the Mignolet stuff in here was spot on. As for the rest of them, I thought they were great and it was a really encouraging performance. One thing I would say that I thought would be mentioned on this show is how poor Lallana was. Gave the ball away countless times and showed his lack of pace. Think Benteke showed in his cameo, he has to start on Sunday.
Lads, sorry but I agree with Ben above as obviously I am not the only one that thinks Adam Lallana is mostly shite, he gives the ball away more times than he makes a decent pass and can’t score.
He was abysmal in marking for the bloody corner on the second goal.
Why aren’t there any players on the front and back post like we used to do in the 80’s as half of the goals we concede could be saved if they had someone half decent at each stick.
I saw the game on the telly here in Baku (midnight)and thought that Liverpool played great and despite the draw I enjoyed the match and am proud of the passion and fight back in the boys.
Either way poor marking aside Miniolet was responsible for the first two goals in my view, beaten at his near post for the first and a yard off his line for the second…what a tosser, the sooner Ward is given a chance the better.
