THE CENTRAL LEAGUE, our show about the Academy prospects at Liverpool, is back after a winter break.

Since then the U21s have got their act together and won three on the bounce, including a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur last time out, and a 1-0 win against Leeds in the U21 Premier League Cup.

However has the returning loan stars come at a cost to some of the younger players? Is it case of too many footballers not enough games? John Gibbons is joined by Andy Kelly, Jack Whitehead and Rob Gutmann to discuss the knock on effects of the change in policy around young players.

They also talk about the U18s, who are through to the next round of the FA Youth Cup after a 3-0 win over Cardiff City on Wednesday night at Prenton Park. They document the rise and rise of Ben Woodburn and wax lyrical over Toni Gomes.

Get well soon Corey Whelan.

In a clip from todays show, John asks whether recalling players back to Kirkby is doing more harm than good?
