Unlike most I think Benteke is probably one of the most adaptable players in world football in the sense that his power, pace, technical ability and intelligence set him a part. And Brendans statement is right on the money that defenders hate playing against him for those reasons. Our £32.5m investment is arguably a better purchase than the £23m spent on Suarez at similar stages of their careers also allowing for current ballooning inflationary valuations. Benteke will hit the deck motoring when as good as Suarez is, it really took us 3 years to develop and improve the fella in order to get the best from him in his final season before leaving.
And Neil comes out with some gems and the latest is amongst his finest.
“If you can’t get excited with this current line up then quite frankly it’s time to pack in.”
Can’t fuckin wait!!!!!
