Reliving the day in which Liverpool’s young heroes rose to the occasion to win the League Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley… NOVEMBER 1987. I was doing A-Levels at a college that no longer exists while living at home. It was my birthday that...
A Liverpool supporter’s take on how high the tensions are when our team is part of a Premier League title race… I’M on the road again. Previous emails have been penned from far-flung places such as Split and Warsaw. This one is from Edinburgh....
Fan reaction in the aftermath of Liverpool’s unspectacular win against Burnley, which sees The Reds remain top of the Premier League… NOT sure. I’m not sure what to make of Saturday. I mean, Liverpool won and all moods are based on that...
A bad day at the office is understandable for a Liverpool side so ahead of the curve, but Sunday’s loss to Arsenal was still hard to take… ”SHOW me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser” – Alan Johnson, JLB Credit Yeah, that...
Jürgen Klopp has shown his greatness as a manager at Liverpool, but his greatest legacy at Anfield will be his humanity… THERE’S been a difference of opinion. He wants everything to be about Chelsea now. He wants every voice to be carried to the team...
The anticipation for a Joe Gomez goal is ever-increasing and the journey towards one is making him even more of a Liverpool fan favourite… I CAN’T wait for Joe Gomez to score. Imagine the let off when he finally notches one. Unreal. I might try to get on...
While You’ll Never Walk Alone unites us in our love of Liverpool, its beauty is in the differing meaning it has between supporters… I’M glad we didn’t play on Saturday January 13 this year. We all have dates we can’t face. Some of us have certain...
Liverpool may start games slowly but this season Klopp’s side never gives up – and are becoming ruthlessly efficient… I love that Arsenal wore the all-white kit to highlight the knife crime issue. Seriously. Third round of the FA Cup at home,...

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.

The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
