Kind of agree with the thoughts about Lallana but then also don’t. I think he only plays if it’s in a midfield 3 rather than a forward position. His build up play is too slow and he just doesn’t 10 pointless turns for no reason and by the time he decides to pass 6 or 7 opposition players are no behind the ball. A lot of our success from 13-14 season was based on quick play breaking from the opposition half or from pressing and willing the ball back and counter attacking. Lallana doesn’t have the pace to be one of the forward players because his build up is too slow but maybe some of his footballing qualities can be best used in the midfield and leave the forward players being the ones with more attacking qualities ie Sturrige, Markovic, Ibe, Sterling (if here), Firmino and a striker if we get one.
