The Times ran with the headline ‘Elliott’s Ankle Agony’, as did The Guardian with the line ‘Elliott Injury Mars Easy Win’ and The Daily Mail went with ‘Horror For Harvey’ as their big takeaway from Sunday.

The Guardian also gave a nod to Mo Salah as he scored his 100th Premier League goal and the Daily Mirror made that their leading story from the game with the headline ‘Mo Is Tons Of Trouble’. That goal took Mo to 13th on The Reds’s all-time league scorers list, level with Jack Balmer on 98 league goals and sees him pull a step closer to Dick Forshaw on 116.

Salah’s goal also saw him draw level with Jack Parkinson at 128 goals in 11th place on the all-time scorers in all competitions, as he catches up to Sam Raybould on 130 goals for Liverpool.
