Good stuff, lads! A cool stat: each time the Reds won in Portugal in a European Cup game, they went on to win the European title. In 78, we beat Benfica 2-1; and in 84 again Benfica 1-0. We’ll soon find out if the magic spell applies to Portuguese opposition generally or only to Benfica. : )
