WHAT a difference a few minutes can make, albeit with 15 minutes of half-time in the middle.
Got to be honest, the head nearly fell off.
NO, YOU FUCKING CALM DOWN.
Simon Mignolet: 7
Rocking the new Sensible Soccer green goalie top — may as well have been on the beach, bar a superb intervention to clear from a set-piece.
Nathaniel Clyne: 6
Something, something, something, solid. Something, something, poor output. Something, something, dependable.
Joel Matip: 7
Quietly very good when he needed to be in the first 45, swept up, recycled the ball quickly enough when he could.
Unflustered.
Boss blocking the ref’s view for the penno an’ all, what a lad.
Dejan Lovren: 9
Boss non-penno that, mate. Have a nine.
James Milner: 8
Best outing in a while, patience and experience shone through.
Few boss little reverses in the final third in really tight situations.
Emre Can: 7
Couple of tackles on the stretch, looked as smart as ever of late.
Adam Lallana: 7
Bit mmm, bit of aaah, bit of just being slightly off it in the first period.
Got stuck in second half and rightly so.
Could have well been player of the season until January, and never quite made it back to those peaks.
Philippe Coutinho: 7
Authority all over the show, growing into a midfield boss.
Looked bloody lovely, too.
His header that ruined his hair was a sign of his commitment.
Yes, Phil.
Georginio Wijnaldum: 10
DE DE DER DER DER…
KICK IT IN THE GOAL!
Roberto Firmino: 7
Tried so hard to get in and around Daniel Sturridge, looked sharp and hungry.
Such a help to his midfield when needed.
Possibly our biggest snide on the quiet.
Daniel Sturridge: 7
Looked by far the most likely, until he wasn’t.
Looked alive, looked at it, looked like a Liverpool centre forward.
Got into some boss positions, too.
Was ready to rip Wijnaldum’s head off if he hadn’t scored.
SUBS
Lucas Leiva: 10
If this is goodbye, well in, la.
Divock Origi: N/A
Alberto Moreno: N/A

Coutinho does look bloody lovely in this new kit.
Love the new kit!
Lovren a 9? Just no.
He was nervous and it showed. Every missed tackle he did his usual “turn around and shout at someone else” that he does when he’s cocked up. Needs to be binned.
Agreed, but minor stuff at the end of the day. He needs to be third or fourth choice next season. Love these Reds though. They took us to the edge but got us home on the final day.
Luc needs an 11 for rocking the shit out of those post match slides with socks.
Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one who had to have a word with himself as my head was about to melt!!!!!Great win in the end, we deserved to finish in that top four over the season, hopefully kick on with a bigger squad next season and hopefully this is the demise of arsenal and united!!!!!WALK ON!!!
SHOOOOOOOOOT
The Mig deserves a 10+, he was the only calm person in that 45min if he had done any of his previous gimmicks I would have suffered instant diarrhoea thank you red men
YNWA
Thought he was great today when everyone else at the back (Lovren in particular) were all over the place despite Middlesbrough being thoroughly poor. Also think he had a vital touch with his foot to keep it 2-0 when one of their forwards was clean through
Andy clearly on the ale, and who can blame him? Well in, lads!
Boss kit: check
Boss players: check
Boss manager: check
Got some sense of what my body physically imploding would feel like in the first half. Got some sense of what my soul exhaling would feel like in the second.
Five clean sheets in our last six. Seven goals in our last two. Next season will have Hendo and Mane back in the line up, along with some boss new players to add to the boss players we have already.
Already can’t wait for the season to start. We go again. Make us dream. YNWA
A 10 to everyone because they all delivered in what was effectively a Cup Final against a team with nothing to lose. 3-0 vs the nerves. Can’t ask for more.
A 10+ for the Gaffer for steering our ‘lesser than others’ ship back off the rocks and back out into the deep blue sea(son) of CL qualification possibility.
11 to Lucas- comes on with a smile, not a sulk, and plays his little legs off in farewell. A rare breed of player that’s shown us that first impressions don’t always count the most. To misquote Othello: “He did the club some service, they know’t. “
I’ve decided Lovren is my new favourite player. I accept men of my age shouldn’t have favourite players but not arsed. Love his commitment. Love his story being a refugee and all that. Love that when we score he’s first there to celebrate. Love how much he wants it. I’d love it if he was good too but it’s one of them.
My favourites are rarely the most talented in the squad, Suarez aside.
Usually the intelligent grafters with bonus points for a sense of humility.
good day at the office, now the beach, hahahahha
N/A – Not Arsed?
