AFTER it was confirmed that Liverpool had no interest in signing wantaway Southampton captain Jose Fonte, the hopes of a January arrival at Anfield disintegrated even further.

With that being said, today’s round up is a little light. Will Jürgen make any moves?

Reds Interested In Berardi

THIS is an exciting one. According to , Liverpool are showing an interest in signing Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi.

The 22-year-old has 56 goals in 142 appearances for the Serie A club and is being touted as a potential star.

The only stumbling block for The Reds is that Juventus are also interested and, having previously co-owned the player, they reportedly have first say on a deal.

Newcastle Interested In Ojo

FORMER Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is interested in bringing Sheyi Ojo to St James’ Park, according to the Northern Echo.

The Spaniard is looking to bolster his options as his side push for promotion and the young winger has been identified as a potential target.

However, Jürgen Klopp is unlikely to let Ojo go with Sadio Mane away at the African Cup of Nations and questions remaining over the depth of his side.

Lennon To Go Out On Loan

BROOKS Lennon looks set to return to his former club Real Salt Lake on loan for the duration of the 2017 MLS season.

The Echo reports that the American has a contract with The Reds until 2018 but they believe a temporary move, and regular first team football, could help boost his development.

Lennon has scored two goals in 11 Premier League 2 appearances for the under-23s this campaign but hasn’t managed to break into the first team.
