AFTER Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final, many are crying out for Jürgen Klopp to delve into the transfer market and add to what is perceived to be a thin squad.

Reds Back In For Hector?

IT’S a name you probably haven’t heard since The Reds’ summer-long chase bore no fruit but, according to the Echo, Jonas Hector is back on the radar at Anfield.

The left-back was widely tipped to be the replacement to the out-of-form Alberto Moreno but Klopp opted to convert the versatile James Milner, and to good effect.

However, with Chelsea believed to be looking at making an approach for Hector, Liverpool could be set to rekindle their interest — though, a move is unlikely to happen this window.

Juve Steal A March On Kolasinac Deal

MORE left-back links, but this time it seems one has got away with Schalke’s Sead Kolasinac the subject of interest from Juventus.

According to Italian site Tuttomercatoweb, the Bosnian’s contract is up in the summer and The Reds have been repeatedly linked with a move.

However, the Serie A giants have already opened talks with the player’s agent and are hot favourites to complete a move. So that’s that.

Another Bundesliga Tah-get?

APOLOGIES for that. Anyway, German newspaper Bild have linked Liverpool with several Bundesliga stars, though the one that sticks out is centre-back Jonathan Tah.

The 20-year-old is being tipped as one of the brightest defensive talents in Europe and is a teammate of major target Julian Brandt.

However, both players seem likely to stay put until at least the summer. So that’s possibly a non-starter…

Reds In Bid For Juve Youngster

JUVENTUS seem to keep cropping up, at the moment. But this time they’re not gazumping us or after one of our lads.

In fact, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Liverpool have offered £10million for midfielder Francesco Cassata.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Empoli but has attracted the interest of The Reds. Could he be part of a deal for Emre Can?

European Giants In For Lallana

Mad this. Barcelona and Juventus (klaxon) have joined Paris Saint-Germain in registering their interest in Adam Lallana, according to The Times.

The England international has emerged as a key player under Klopp and is enjoying a fantastic season for The Reds so far.

Lallana is rumoured to be looking for a new deal though the club have yet to table any contract offer, causing the sharks to circle. Get it done, Liverpool.

Liverpool To Approach United Target

NOTHING says rivalry like a transfer battle. Or is it just mind games? Either way, Le 10 Sport are reporting that The Reds are to make a ‘concrete approach’ for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Monaco midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford among other Premier League clubs.

And Liverpool have reportedly enquired about the Frenchman, whose price tag is believed to be around £25m.
