Sadio’s Still Boss

What a year he’s having. There can’t be many who doubt his quality now. To be honest, that whole signing Southampton players stigma isn’t looking like such a bad thing these days — with Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane all being massively impressive. There is Rickie Lambert but the less said about that, the better.

Anyway, Mane had already been recognised by the BBC in their African Player of the Year nominations and now CAF have put the Senegalese international forward for the award.

Go ‘ed, Sadio.

Ejaria Enjoying Life At Liverpool

Feel better about The Academy these days than I have done in ages, particularly with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ovie Ejaria making their breakthrough this season. And the latter is enjoying his time with the first team.

He said: “It’s going really well in and around the first team. I’m really enjoying it and hopefully I can stay there if I keep doing well.”

Looking forward to seeing him and Trent getting more game time. Genuinely exciting players.

Bogdan Back At Liverpool

Adam Bogdan is set to cut his loan spell at Wigan Athletic short after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which sees him ruled out for the rest of the season.

His post on Instagram read: “I have just received the result of my MRI scan which showed that I tore my ACL in my right knee, so it will be a lengthy recovery. I am sure I will return stronger!”

He’s shite and that but do wish him a speedy recovery.

Coutinho Man For The Occasion

Interesting to see this last night. There used to be a misconception among fans — mainly of other teams, obviously — that Philippe Coutinho went missing in big games.

Here are the stats which say otherwise…
