IT’S Thursday morning, and here is the latest Liverpool FC transfer gossip.

No Move For Mustafi Or Medel

The ECHO’s James Pearce has rubbished reports that the Reds are pursuing a deal with Valencia which would see Shkodran Mustafi coming to the club, and Luis Alberto going the other way.

James also poured water on the rumours that Jürgen Klopp has been chasing Inter Milan’s Gary Medel.

Reds In For Martins Indi?

The Mirror are reporting that Liverpool are interesting in signing Bruno Martins Indi to bolster their defensive options, according to the Mirror.

The Dutch international would be a versatile option, capable of playing at both centre back and left back – while current injury problems, and the ongoing Alberto Moreno saga, have left the Reds looking light in those areas.

Best known for this, of course:

Alberto To Valencia?

Despite rumours of Mustafi coming to Liverpool looking unlikely, it still looks as though Luis Alberto could be heading to the Mestalla.

The 23-year-old is one of the players deemed to be expendable, and the club have previously rejected approaches from several clubs that haven’t met their asking price. However, Plaza Deportivo are suggesting that the Reds could be set to agree a cut-price deal of £2.6million with Valencia.

A technically sound player. Just always looked dead, dead slow.

Balo To The Championship?

Would be mad this. The Express and Star are reporting that Wolves and Port Vale could be set to make a move for Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli.

This comes after the striker had a conversation with his former boss Jose Mourinho, who advised that he may have to drop out of the Premier League to revive his career.

It’s a mad world, isn’t it?

Benteke Besiktas Loan?

Turkish outlet Lig TV are reporting that Besiktas have tabled a loan offer, believed to be valued at 3m euros, for Christian Benteke.

Liverpool have said previously that they are looking for a permanent deal, but they could be persuaded by a loan move to get him off the wage bill, should a permanent deal not materialise.

Can only see a loan being negative for us.

Milan In For Markovic?

AC Milan may be set to offer Lazar Markovic an escape from his current predicament, with the Express reporting that the Rossoneri are one of a number of clubs to register their interest.

The Serbian is likely to find opportunities limited at Anfield, having not done enough to impress his new manager, and a move away might be best for both parties.

Hope he can turn his luck around, even if he has to go elsewhere to do that.
