THE Premier League season is now just over a week away, so to get you in the mood here is some more LFC transfer gossip on this Friday morning.

Madrid Chase Liverpool Target

Portugese newspaper A Bola, are reporting that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Joao Mario.

Liverpool and Inter Milan have both apparently had bids rejected by Sporting for Portugal’s Euro 2016 star, and it is suggested that the Reds could be preparing a fresh bid for the midfielder.

Looks a great player, to be fair.

Odegaard Wants Klopp

Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard is reportedly holding out for an approach from Jürgen Klopp, despite having loan offers from several Bundesliga sides.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the player and his father are waiting to see if the German is interested in bringing the youngster to Anfield, in what would likely be a loan deal.

He’s been around Melwood before so at least he wouldn’t be unfamiliar.

Vermaelen Weighs Up Options

Thomas Vermaelen is going to weigh up his options before deciding whether or not he should leave Barcelona, according to reports from Spanish publication AS.

The former Arsenal captain has offers on the table from Roma and Liverpool, and may be looking for a move, with his game time likely to be limited after the signing of Samuel Umtiti.

I’d take him. If only to see the Arsenal Twitter fume.

Cam Bran Set For Loan Move

Liverpool youngster Cameron Brannagan looks set to be heading to Wigan on a season-long loan, and the deal could be sealed within the next 24 hours, as reported by the Express.

The 20-year-old had a breakthrough season last year but with no European competition is unlikely to feature much this season, and a loan looks the best possible move for his development.

I like Cam, hope it goes well for him.

Ricardo Rodriguez Linked

Another day, another left back. This time it’s Ricardo Rodriguez being linked with a move to Anfield, according to Sky Sports’ transfer algorithm.

The Swiss international’s agent has confirmed there is a release clause in his contract, which appears to be enough to link him with a move to the Reds, given our current problems on the left side of defence.

Putting my neck on the line. Don’t reckon this will happen.

Mercado Moves To Sevilla

According to the Express, Sevilla have signed ‘Liverpool target’ Gabriel Mercado, for a £2million fee from River Plate.

The 29-year-old right back was signed to replace Coke, the Reds’ Europa League final enemy, who recently secured a move to Schalke, after River Plate’s club president reported that Klopp had expressed an interest in the Argentinian international.

First I’ve heard of it.
