HERE is your tea time round-up of today’s biggest Liverpool FC stories.

Moreno Speaks Out

Alberto Moreno has been speaking today about the criticism he has received after his performance against Arsenal. The Spaniard gave away a penalty and appeared to be at fault for the Gunners’ opening goal, in a spell similar to that of last season’s Europa League final.

He told The World Game: “It’s about keeping going and keeping positive. I am very happy here, I love Liverpool Football Club, I love playing here, I’m happy with my form and how I’ve played, overall the fans are happy with me as well.”

Look, he hasn’t had the best of times recently, but with that attitude we should be getting behind him.

Allen Found Out About Move Via Text

Hate to hear this sort of thing. Joe Allen has revealed that he found out about his exit from Liverpool via a text from a friend, though he has insisted that he is happy with his move to Stoke.

The Welshman told The Telegraph: “I had a text message off a friend congratulating me about making the move when I didn’t even know it was happening at the time. Not knowing whether the club intend to sell you or keep you, especially when you’re trying to ask the question, is disappointing.”

*sighs* This sort of thing happens in modern football, but you always hate to see it from your own club.

Brannagan Loan Off

Cameron Brannagan will not be going on loan to Wigan, despite reports that suggested a deal had been agreed between Liverpool and the Championship club.

The Reds had requested – as they do with all loans – that the player appear in at least 75% of matches, or the loan club would have to face a six figure fine. However, Wigan were said to be unsure whether they could meet this requirement, and didn’t feel it was a necessary risk to take.

Fair play. He’s a good player, I’m sure there will be other clubs after him.
