Klopp has announced he’s taking a break, disappointed to be honest.
Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe it. If we are not careful we’ll have the worlds biggest turkey on our hands by Christmas and nobody will take it off out hands. Rodger’s faiied all FSG criteria in 2014/15, and faiied all fans criteria (well, not all, but overwhelmingly most). Recruitment, tactics, PR, man management, team structure. It is entirely possible that he was the worst manager in the EPL. It is possible to point to one game only where the team performed on a way to make supporters proud – Spurs away. Now, we are generally seen as easybeats, even at Anfield. How we managed 6th is beyond my comprehension. If Rodgers had not been forced – seemingly with great telucrtance – to draft in Lucas and Sakho in November, we could very easily have been in the relegation zone with 8 matches to go. As it was, all relegated clubs outplayed and out-managed us. Roy Hodgson is only the second-worst manager we have ever had.
Steve Graves said “to see the problem as Rodgers, it requires you to just dislike him as a person”
Then only 70 seconds later the same Steve Graves said “it’s been genuinely heartbreaking at times to see the manager try things and for them not to come off, to see the players just look confused and not know what position they’re supposed to be playing…..its a lack of identity, a lack of knowing exactly what we are meant to be about, what this liverpool team is…..the coaching time is definitley an issue.”
So its ok to see those same things, ie. the players looking clueless as they have a lack of direction from Rodgers (sort of the whole point of his being LFC manager), buts its only possible to think Rodgers is a problem if you dislike him personally?
And that we may hope that we never play in Europe if Rodgers remains as manager because he needs coaching time? Despite the fact he had plenty of coaching time in the last two months of the season when league performances and results were as bad as they were when we were busy getting 7 points from 6 games vs Ludogorets and Basle?
Yeah. that’s the bloke who labelled anyone who slagged off Balotelli as racist!
By the way fellas you’re an absolute credit to the Club and City when people from outside Liverpool are tuning in to hear your intelligent and eloquent views. And I’m not connected to TAW as Im currently tuning in from Western Australia having been here for 3 years and Being fair to Steve I can see his point entirely and you guys have just proved his point. PRECISELY.
It’s clear who does not like Rodgers because you are unwilling to consider the possibility that next season after all have stepped off the Beaches with Adonnis tans, especially Brendan, totally refreshed and ready to go again, and maybe just maybe when FSG have got to get their act together and actually start believing as we all should that the future can hold Istanbul Nights, and dominating the league in store for our Great Club. Because if we’re all brutally honest who ever believed back in 2005 that Istanbul was even possible the night before we played Juventus at Anfield never mind before we beat Olympiakos. We all have to believe as fans especially those who regularly attend Anfield because back in 2005 the team felt the belief from the Stands against Juve and Chelsea, as was the case during the season before last when the belief and the confidence flowed from the crowd onto the pitch at games such as Man City, as those occasions are living proof at LFC that how keeping the faith truly makes anything possible. Daring to dream is why we choose to go the game. It’s too easy for us as Keyboard Warriors to go off on one and undo all the good work of the last couple of years, yeah sure last season was a very poor one but let’s not throw the baby out with the water!
What if we get 2 more very good strikers? What if the club decides to bring back Comolli or A.N. Other to give the manager the blatantly obvious help that he needs to pull of what is probably the most difficult job in World football? What if Rogers has learned so much from his mistakes last year and mends the error of his ways? What if which is very possible that the young squad kick on and what if Sterling decides to knuckle down or we cash in and spend the £50m on another Worldy?
I for 1 am more than willing to keep the faith and dare to dream. Because if you’re not prepared to keep an open mind and give the Club the benefit of the doubt, coz it’s clearly not just the manager who is at fault, then where does that leave us
COME ON YOU REEEEEDS!!!!! YNWA
