I’d say I felt 2008/09 side was far stronger than last year.
But again we go back to last season again and again.
Saying that I don’t think he’ll be sacked
Last season was a perfect storm for us. Chelsea lacked a lethal finisher and the Mancs had Moyes. That’s two powerhouses not getting into gear.
Rodgers has had three seasons, spent more than Rafa and has us one place above KD’s awful season. If FSG remain true to form, Rodgers has gone.
Two places. Not one place.
I would back the 08/09 side to have won the league last season
Well done fellas, the tone was just right. Melancholy and regret: yes. Change: yes (if Klopp’s available. Smartarsery: no. He gave use one of the seasons of our lives and should, as you say, be welcome in any pub in the red half of the city. A dignfied valedictory for a decent football man.
Q. As the name suggests, I can’t get to Anfield often these days. Are the supporters, or at least a section of them, impossible to please these days? I get that impression from afar.
I’m guessing you’re PaulofFinland? When you log in to TAW and post a comment your actual name appears automatically despite having chosen a username, not sure if this can be corrected.
Yea a tad frustrating that.
I know. It’s a pain in the arse ‘cos I log in as pauloffinland. Don’t think I can correct it at this end.
I think it’s important there’s changes made for all to see THIS WEEK. It’s important to lift the fans and give them hope.
I really hope we’ve previously approached Klopp or his representatives and now I hope we go all out to secure him. For a while now I’ve been in the camp that gives Rodgers another season as long as we can’t get someone better but after the dire capitulation of the last few months I don’t see a future for him. Unfortunately our owners seem to take an age to make any decision on the footballing side of things so we may have to wait.
If we are to sign Ings and Milner then get them tied down this week too.
