It’s summer, players are on their holidays (or having treatment for injuries, thanks Roy) and with no actual footy matches to dissect we thought we’d do things a little differently.
Neil met up with Paul Cope, Kristian Walsh and Rob Gutmann on Sunday morning and still found plenty of footy stuff to talk about in the Radio City tower, including possible transfers in and out of the club.

Just a quick hijack? Apologies!
Do you remember being told how bad we were for not embracing Roy Hodgson? Do you remember how we were accused of not giving this “great manager” a chance?
Did you see the same media this morning? They say he’s a buffoon;he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
I rest my case your honour!
The whole country’s got what they deserve mate.
The huge negative in LS’s timing is players like Eriksen – the more high profile targets – may be swayed against joining LFC with him leaving. The blueprint for the future isn’t as strong without him in it and we’re already in a position of having to promise success to recruits rather than having recently delivered it. I understand why he’d look to move on, but the over-riding feeling is this should have been kept within the club.
Otherwise we could just get The Greek involved in transfer negotiations, whether he signs or not. Very worst case a cardboard cut out as the Samaras-hating facial expression wont change…
I don’t pay much attention to transfer rumours anymore. I saw an article the other day ’20 players linked with Liverpool this week’. That said, you can’t help but see the headlines and I feel confident that someone at LFC knows what they’re doing in the transfer market. A lot of the names coming up seem like players with a decent mentality. Forever the optimist but I think we could be a lot stronger next season.
