Liverpool Say Bye To Champion Diaz As They Usher In New Era

by Karl Coppack | Jul 29, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

Liverpool refreshing a championship winning squad is more than exciting – it’s a must if they’re to seek dominance at home and in Europe …   I’LL miss Lucho. I know all the arguments. A phenomenal fee for a 28-year-old who doesn’t want to...

Slot’s Liverpool Taking Shape With More New Signings?

by Karl Coppack | Jul 21, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

With Hugo Ekitike set to sign as Liverpool’s pre-season tour commences, is their transfer business set to continue throughout the summer? …   ANOTHER name in then. Possibly. Not sure. There’s no photo of Hugo Ekitike holding up a Liverpool scarf above...

Liverpool & Preston Do Themselves Proud In Diogo Jota’s Honour

by Karl Coppack | Jul 14, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

As Liverpool and Preston North End united to pay tribute to the late Diogo Jota, both did themselves and their fans proud with their tone…   I’VE never really been interested in preseason friendlies. We seldom learn anything from them, save for who’s kept...

Diogo Jota’s Legacy Will Live On Through Liverpool

by Karl Coppack | Jul 7, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

Despite his untimely passing, the legacy and memory of Diogo Jota will live on through Liverpool Football Club and those associated with it…   I CAN’T stop thinking about his parents. Football’s one thing and our place in his life another, but my mind flies...

Harvey Elliott, Liverpool & Football’s Revolving Door Policy

by Karl Coppack | Jun 30, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

Once a football club signs a player, generally one of their current crop has to suffer – the situation Harvey Elliott faces at Liverpool now…   ON Saturday, as we do every year, a bunch of us hired some boats in Berkshire, got off at Runnymede, played...
Jarell Quansah & Liverpool’s Centre-Half Conundrum

Jarell Quansah & Liverpool’s Centre-Half Conundrum

by Karl Coppack | Jun 24, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

With Jarell Quansah leaving for Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool are looking light at centre-half – so which way will The Reds look for recruits?   RAFAEL Benitez was fond of the ‘short blanket’ analogy to discuss transfer policies and, by association, the...

Liverpool Throwing Their Transfer Weight Around With Florian Wirtz

Federico Chiesa’s Future & Losing Great Kop Anthems

Federico Chiesa’s Future & Losing Great Kop Anthems

by Karl Coppack | Jun 9, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

As rumours circulate that Federico Chiesa’s future may not lie at Liverpool, fans began to mourn the loss of another great Kop anthem…   I HOPE they don’t sell Federico Chiesa. This isn’t borne of any special affection for the Italian, though I...
How Liverpool Are Leaving Old Foes In Their Wake Again

How Liverpool Are Leaving Old Foes In Their Wake Again

by Karl Coppack | Jun 2, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

After years of being the laughing stock when it came to domestic league success, Liverpool are back to leaving their foes in their wake…   CARDS on the table. I wrote this a week ago, before the parade, but we felt that wasn’t the week to talk about...
Liverpool’s Wind Down Into The Week Of Our Lives

Liverpool’s Wind Down Into The Week Of Our Lives

by Karl Coppack | May 20, 2025 | app, Featured Writing, Footie, Karl Coppack's Column

Liverpool proved they’re more on the beach than their seaside opposition, but The Reds date with destiny move into full focus…   SUCH a weird time. I’ve read various adages about the last few weeks. That it’s been like being expected to go back to...

The Pub Crawlers Podcast: Nottingham (S1E3)

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…

The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.

Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.

The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.

Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.

The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.

Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
