Even after a couple of pints of Guiness I certainly wouldn’t proclaim Slot an elite manager, nothing has changed or looks like changing. The players look unfit and either don’t understand or want to buy into his coaching methods and tactics. We always seem to have to write off the first half in every game. These aren’t the traits of an elite manager or even a good manager.
I’m concerned about whether FSG are prepared to give Slot another season (his final year on contract) rather than sack him and pay him and his coaching staff, saving the money. This extra season could set the club back further if any new signings are as bad as the previous ones.
