Neil, Kristian, Rob and Andy were joined by Daniel Fitzsimmons, James Sutton and Andy and Chris from Cold Shoulder in this weeks Parr St session as they chat about the United game, Mark Halsey and what to expect from West Brom as well as a chat about LFC’s youngsters.

I look forward to listening when I walk the dog tonight.
Following yesterday’s imperious display by our captain, I trust all that talk of Gerrard being put out to grass/dropped/redeployed has been firmly put to bed?
The following demonstrates that Jonjo Shelvey does not even foul, let alone brutally tackle or go for a loose ball,

I agree, though, that had Halsey given a yellow card to Jonjo earlier (deserved) OR if Jonjo had not been so blatantly belligerent and obstreperous towards Halsey earlier when he was giving him a ‘talking to’ then the red card would not have happened.
Finally, you lads are absolutely correct that no one from LFC on the pitch has the right attitude and approach towards the referees. It’s either ignoring the ref or being petulant.
It’s also time for the fans to ditch some of the scumbags in the “I want to keep my job in the Fergie run media” brigade for once & for all. When they next turn up at Anfield let them know the story. Also Boycott the Echo if they continue to be employed by them.
If Liverpool Football Club want to remain relevant & want to continue as a top world club then they need to stop this cowardice and stand up to the conspirators. Appoint a proper CEO with teeth, someone with the power to stand up to the FA, SKY, & the Referee’s association. If not, then just forget about it. And for god sake get rid of Gary I want to work for Sky Gillespie off LFC. It’s bad enough listening to Sky & BBC & RTE pundits knocking your club without having to listen to it on your own TV channel too.
Hey guys.
Love the podcast. Listen to it every week in Sydney, Australia.
Totally agree with you that our players need to deal with the referee better.
In regards to the Shelvey sending off..do you think the fact that Shelvey gets straight up and Evans stays down also worsens the situation? If Shelvey stays down to recover from the 50/50 do you think he gets sent?
Chappo
Ps – Halsey at dinner with ferguson?! That’s f*cked.
A former Manchester United player, in his autobiography, said that the first thing he was told when he joined the club was ‘Go to ground at very opportunity.’ That is the club ethic; the word ‘dubious ‘ – or similar adjectives – used when describing Manchester United penalties is probably redundant because ‘ deserved’ would be used sparingly and therefore would be a less cliched usage.
Insofar as Sir Alex Ferguson is concerned, it has been said of him that respect for him starts and stops at his club (and its camp followers. ) He is not revered, respected or even liked anywhere else a la Bobby Robson and his ilk. In my considered view, there has been only one footballing identity who has merited honours in the last 30 years, and that is the King. Had he been at OT they’d have made him an earl…
Having said that, Carra has expressed admiration for the Manu manager, and Fergy looked as if he was tapping him up post-match on Sunday. BR had better get him signed to the coaching staff before we get another example of desired personnel being whipped out from under our noses.
If you want to go apoplectic, read the normally excellent Syed in this morning’s Times.
