At the time of writing over 120,000 people have signed the Government e-petition asking for full disclosure of all government documents relating to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster. This means the case must now legally be discussed in the commons.

If you haven’t already signed it, sign it here.

The next stage is to write to your local MP.
You can find your local MP’s address or email here.

Dear Mrs Ellman,

Hillsborough e-Petition

As my MP, I ask that you ensure that the Commons Backbench Business Committee, now that the e-Petition has attracted more than 100,000 supporters, allots time for a full debate of the Government’s decision not to consent to the Information Commissioner’s ruling that the Cabinet papers relating to the circumstances and aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster now be made public.

I ask, also, that you participate in that full debate supporting the e-Petition and further ensure that there is a full disclosure of all the Cabinet discussion, not just based on Chatham House rules.

Yours sincerely,
