From Athletic Bilbao to Rayo Vallecano, Iraola’s journey has been shaped by clubs that represent more than football… Even though I’m far from being an Andoni Iraola expert, there are things I like about him already. I like that he’s from the...
A new era at Liverpool offers the chance to restore the standards, unity and identity that once made the club so formidable… In 2012 there was a Sky excerpt of Jamie Redknapp returning to Melwood to see the training ground he first visited as a teenage...
A season which had an eerie resemblance to 2014-15 is finally over for Liverpool. The opportunity to reset must be taken…… In 2015, Sachin Nakrani and I wrote a book, ‘We’re Everywhere, Us’ about the 2014-15 season. Our idea was to carry the flame...
Not for the first time this season boos could be heard ringing around Anfield. Can this state of affairs really be repaired?… PEOPLE have lost their minds and I can see why. Anfield is usually expectant and supportive by nature. There’s usually a Day One...
In a season full of setbacks, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has demonstrated he’s no Premier League wartime consigliere… I missed the first eight minutes, which is to say I missed the bit where Liverpool were competitive at 0-0. The narrative of the...
Liverpool would not be denied another win, despite Crystal Palace’s controversial goal. It made my celebration that bit sweeter… I’VE seldom celebrated a clincher more than Florian Wirtz’s beautiful goal on Saturday. I mean, we all felt the relief...
In a season full of relative lows, the Merseyside Derby has brought respite for Liverpool. Now we’ll always have the Hill Dickinson… IT doesn’t solve anything, it doesn’t excuse anything and it certainly doesn’t justify an appalling season. But who...
The Fulham result and a better performance, coupled with Rio’s star turn and the power of Anfield have Liverpool believing again… THE difference a win makes. The difference a second goal makes. The difference a clean sheet makes. Last week saw an...

The third episode of season one of The Pub Crawlers Podcast was recorded in Nottingham, as Rob Gutmann hosts Steve Graves and Martin Fitzgerald to discuss the local pub scene, Indian restaurants, students, and more…
The Pub Crawlers Podcast represents a quest to find the very best authentic UK pubs, filmed on location inside some of the finest boozers across the UK and Ireland.
Well, sort of. It’s equally about friends having three to four pint-fuelled, quintessential pub conversations, on any subjects that damn well occur to them, in a range of outstanding boozers across the land. So, really, it’s as much about what we get up to in pubs as the pubs themselves.
The shows are presented by self-styled boozer connoisseur and long-time pub designer and owner, Rob Gutmann, who is on a mission to find the very best pubs in the UK and to define the essence of the ‘true’ pub.
Featuring a wide range of guests (mainly Rob’s mates), we’ll be visiting pubs the length and breadth of the country, bedding into the very best of them, and chatting about our lives lived in and around boozers.
The first season of the Pub Crawlers focuses on the North of England, taking in Chester, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, and even a brief foray to the north side of the Midlands in Nottingham.
Plug yourself in to the ongoing conversation as it disappears down all manner of tenuously pub-related worm holes, with your new mates at TPC. And you don’t need a pint to enjoy us, but it might help…
