IT doesn’t feel as though we’re any deeper into the international break, and another chance to watch the irresistible Reds take to the field still feels distant.
Personally, I don’t really watch games in international breaks. The friendlies/qualifiers just don’t interest me at all. No, instead tonight I’ll probably catch an episode of Empire, or something along those lines. Be arsed with Austria v Wales. No offence.
Lovren And Clyne Set To Be Fit For United
The ECHO are reporting that Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne are both set to be fit for the visit of Manchester United in 12 days time — ‘kinell, TWELVE DAYS?! — while The Reds are still sweating over the fitness of Adam Lallana.
Clyne was ruled out of international duty due to a knee injury, while Dejan Lovren pulled out due to a groin problem. Lallana, who was subbed off in the 2-1 win over Swansea, also has a groin problem and has been undergoing intensive treatment at Melwood.
Sort of expected this, if I’m being honest. Sad if Lallana can’t make it. Not bad to be able to bring Danny Sturridge into that attack and move Phil Coutinho back into midfield, though.
Riise Talks Up Klopp
Former Reds left-back John Arne Riise has been waxing lyrical about current manager Jürgen Klopp, and reckons his side have got a massive advantage with a less hectic schedule this season.
He told Goal: “I love him. He’s passionate, the way he likes to show emotions on the pitch, with the players when they’re scoring, with the fans.
“And his style. He likes to have this high pressing tempo and because this season Liverpool will play less games than normal, I think it’s going to work out for him.”
Mad that Riise is still playing, by the way. Off topic slightly but don’t you agree?
Klavan On The Attack
Ragnar Klavan has been saying good things about Liverpool’s attack, and how playing against it in training is making him a better player.
The Estonian said: “Of course. We have so much quality in front, but for me it is good to train against them every day — it helps my defending level.”
You sort of expecting players to talk up there colleagues but in this case I don’t reckon he’s exaggerating. Nobody wants to play us. Up the terrifying Reds.

Everybody loves an ‘on this day’, don’t they? Horrible how old they always make you feel, though.
But this was just ace.

I’ve rewatched a few of the liverpool games this season, and I feel like Danny Ings should come in over Sturridge and Origi if Lallana can’t play.
Reasons:
1. Firmino is the best option as the tip of the spear.
2. Sturridge doesn’t like being on the left.
3. When Sturridge plays he complains constantly about not getting the ball so a lot of the guys force passes to him that they shouldn’t and it causes turn overs.
4. Sturridge doesn’t press well.
With all that said it is a big rivalry game so I don’t think Klopp will make that bold of a decision, but I would love it if he does.
