Liverpool celebrated a famous victory in the ICC to put them top of their group.

Here are your ratings.

Mignolet 6

Had literally nothing to do all game, could have had a deck chair, pipe and slippers.

Alexander-Arnold 7 (Sub 45)

Another assured performance from the youngster, looks to have the confidence to get forward and test the opposition full-back, be interesting to see him get the odd cup appearance.

Great touch to free Mane down the inside right channel on the stroke of half-time.

Klavan 7 (Sub 75)

Great block tackle on Niang on the first half after the Milan forward thought he’d act the smart arse, soz abar you lad.

Lovren 6 (Sub 75)

Seems to have settled well with Klavan. There are signs of a hint of understanding with his Estonian parter.

Milner 6 (Off 62)

Great cross just before half-time for Mane, looks more than comfortable at left back with the position suiting his natural crossing ability.

Gives Liverpool an option should they not strengthen in that area.

Henderson 7 (Sub 75)

Built on a steady performance against Chelsea with a good range of passing, everything seems to have gone up a few notches from alst season and finally looks free of injury.

Lallana 7 (Sub 45)

Should have done better when put clear by Sturridge on 10 minutes, chose to pass when a shot would have been the better option.

Touch as assured as ever, and showed a good weight of pass on occasion to stretch the width of the game.

Narrowly missed the target with a curled effort on 37 minutes.

Wijnaldum 6 (Sub 45)

Steady on the right of a midfield three, Liverpool’s new Dutch international eased himself well in to the game without patuclarly doing anything of note.

Coutinho 8 (Sub 45)

Caused the Milan defence a few problems early on with his direct running, found his range early on and looks to have put on a bit of bulk of the summer.

Oozes quality.

Sadio Mane 6 (Sub 45)

Good early cross for Coutinho, has so much pace and trickery, already looks like £30m well spent.

Let himself down from a great position towards the end of the first half when clear, put too much mean on a fairly straightforward square ball that would have put it on a plate for Daniel Sturridge.

Hit the keeper moments later from a great position following a fantastic ball from Coutinho .

Sturridge 6 (Sub 45)

Bright early on, put Lallana away with a pass inside the Milan full back.

Had two chances in quick succession midway through the first half but managed to hit the defender on both occasions.

Possibly still searching for a little bit of sharpness.

Clyne 6 (On 45)

Eased back in to get some minutes, more of the same from the England international, doesn’t make mistakes, isn’t flashy, would like to see him take a risk a bit more going forward.

Firmino 7 (On 45)

Touch looked good, but needlessly nearly cost his side a goal fannying around on the edge of his own box on the hour mark.

GOOOOOOOAAAALLLLL, squeezed one in off a deflected Ojo shot across the box, celebration as good as the goal.

Nearly had a second on 86 minutes, forcing the Milan keeper into a decent stop.

Moreno 6 (On 45)

Always available on the overlap, has started ok and nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe.

Put in a few good crosses.

Brannagan 6 (On 75)

Came on, plugged a gap

Origi 8 (On 45)

GOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLLLL – Made an absolute mug of Gabriel Paletta before sliding an excellent shot of the side of Gabriel’s post to score Liverpool’s first.

Had another chalked off for offside on 70 minutes.

Stewart 6 (On 45)

Injured innocuously sliding for the ball ten minutes into the second half, look like a bad one but the young lion was back on the pith after some short treatment.

Moved to centre half for the last 15 minutes.

Wisdom 6 (On 75)

Came on and slotted in at centre half.

Markovic 6 (On 45)

Can’t fault his effort, but looks shorn of confidence and seems to lack strength.

Showed great pace to make the byline to put in a good cross that Liverpool could have done better with.

Ojo 7 (On 63)

A heavy touch moments after coming off the bench that could have put him through.

Good pace and skill to create the space for the shot that ultimately lead to Liverpool’s second.

Randall 6 (On 75)

Slotted into the Liverpool midfield and battled well.
