IT’S a Gutter show, but not as we know it.
Jurgen’s been on, and says we’re not likely to sign anyone. He wants to have a look at what he’s got.
But do we believe him? Is it even up to him? What would the people in the room do if they were in charge? What gaps in the squad exist, and what might catapult us to glory?
Rob Gutmann is joined by Stephen Evans, Simon Hughes and Neil Atkinson. Links are ignored and instead it’s a chat about the bigger picture, about how Liverpool should be approaching the transfer market, and how much of any purchase is down to luck rather than judgement.
They even get into the true meaning of “When The Reds Win We All Win”.
Weren’t expecting that from The Gutter, were you?
One thing that’s being overlooked with transfer business is that, for the first time in a while, we don’t have a 50-75m quid player to boost the coffers.
In previous years we have spent about 25m quid net. with no huge offset player that restricts what we can do massively.
Love a bit of gutter talk! Such a whirlwind of over-excitement and enthusiasm.
Although, Rob… did you refer to Jonathan Northcroft as ‘Northcoat’ or something whilst apologising for getting his name wrong?! :D
