I can sing any song but never sing ‘we hate Nottingham Forest, we hate Everton too they’re shit. It never ceases to amaze me that it still gets sung on the Kop. I remember Neil saying once he liked it. Christ, I dress like it’s the 80’s still, my hair’s like it was in the 80’s, I still listen to music from the 80’s and even prefer things like a rubik’s cube to an xbox but it’s just too dated for me. It means nothing to me. I remember when I was really young at Chester and they used to sing ‘we hate Crewe Alexandra, Wrexham and Tranmere Rovers’. Great times but extremely backward in comparison with modern society so turn up at Anfield and here it still, turns my stomach. Difficult to convey my hatred but imagine the opposition keeper about to take a goal kick and the Kop going ‘oooooohh your shit aaarrr’. You’d be horrified. Well, I am when I hear that nonsense.
I totally agree with you lads about the chant theme. You’re straight to the core about what is lacking at the home side atmosphere. Like we are doing the same old chants by default so everyone can easily join in. Of course we should have brand new flaming chants for our lads, good or bad. We period should have them. But, where are those brilliant intelligent point taking spot on lads that used to make songs at Anfield? You don’t hear them anymore, or to be fair, they don’t break trough.
That, I think is the matter.
Spot on regarding having refs on TV and secondly is it just me or do Mike Girling & Mike Nevin sound very alike ?
Add in that liv er pool, liv er pool, chant, most boring dull chant, the crowd sound bored stupid when they sing it, I know it been round along time but so so dull.
