Massively critical today lads: Gerrard didn’t fit in? absolute rubbish.
Are you guys nuts?
zidane did what no one else could at such a latter age
Gerrard is a legend & let him get into his stride
his position is best as a second striker
but he had to do a lot of work(he is only capable of doing that)
give him the respect
and stop the crap that he is past it
Massively disappointed. Was expecting the “You’re my first, my last, my everything” as a background theme of the pod ;)
“If you don’t like what is being said, then change the conversation.” – Don Draper
I reckon it was a good draw. What Rodgers’ managed to do on Sunday, apart from anything else, was exactly that – he changed the conversation. Since October last year every opinion piece about us, in every paper, centred around either the Luis Suarez race row, our inability to deal with the fallout thereof or to deal with the press in general, our overspending on Andy Carroll, et al. Even since Rodgers’ appointment there have been mainly negative stories.
After Sunday though, I’ve only read positive reports; gleaming accounts of our youngsters, our tactics, our football. Whether we threw the game away ourselves or not is immaterial – LFC is no longer the media punching bag, well, at least for as long as we play like we did for 70 odd minutes.
On a different note, Gerrard was poor on Sunday, but against Gomel he showed what he can do in that advanced midfield position. It’s silly to even contemplate selling him.
Fernando was an awesome addition to the ‘cast. Kept wishing he’d quote Tony Montana…

Great podcast! Kind of blindsided by the Gerrard transfer stuff though. His very presence brings players to Anfield and he infuses the team with hope and experience. He will always have a place, however reduced it may be. I’d like to see him somewhere in the front three; less hollywood running, more poaching.
Please, Please, Please get Fernando on as much as possible. What a legend!
Hi, I’m unable to access the podcast?? Is there an issue with it? I click on the link and it just runs and runs for ages then nothing?!

ECHO…. Echo.. echo.
Fernando was great, bring him back.
Hey guys great show. Loved the punchline opening segment. Mine, for what it’s worth mine is “it’s a nicknack Patty Black, give the frog a loan”.
I’m from Seattle and was introduced to your show by my brother in law. Sounders are our local team. But LFC are our club abroad. Our Pacific time-zpne wake up call this time of year is 7-8am Saturday or Sunday morning.
Skrtel had us bouncing and waking up our households. Coffee wasn’t needed. His (well discussed) back pass left us speechless.
Enjoyed your discussion on Allen and Lucas positioning.
I’m sure you’re as tired as we are of the transfer question about Dempsey. But any quality you see to his addition? Pure speculation of course. For me, I think it would be a situation where it’s addition by subtraction. So, if someone is moved out then room for him to come in. That said, his cost doesn’t seem the right timing for LFC to spend for him. I’d rather see Carroll kept on. I’m sensing he’ll be moved, but I keep hoping there will be a revelation and Carroll will be part of the answer.
I think we owe Arsenal some payback.
