Neil, Rob, Mike, Andy and Kris are joined by Mike Nevin, Lisa Southern, Jonathan Northcroft of The Sunday Times and one of Liverpool’s favourite sons, the Daily Mirror’s Brian Reade as they deconstruct the Sunderland debacle and ‘look forward’ to the 217th Merseyside Derby.

Ps love the podcast, highlight of my week.
Thanks guys

For some reason it’s not showing up on my itunes. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Same problem . Going cold turkey here. Need my fix.
Yeah, not showing up on mine either at the moment so gone through the direct link instead.
Enjoyed as usual, but would have liked to have heard more from your guests this week. Still think there are too many contributors.
Great podcast. Love listening to it here in Kenya. I’ve noticed a slight waning in regards to outright support of the new signings. It’s quite unfortunate that apart from Enrique, Suarez, and Bellamy none of the summer signings have added anything to the squad. I never thought I’d regret selling Meireles and Aquiliani, but right now those two starting over Adam and Henderson, in my mind, would great improve the squad.
It will be VERY interesting to see what happens this summer. Seemingly the only way to get back into the Champions League is to buy Champions League players (something that Carroll, Adam, Downing, and currently Henderson) are not. How much money will the owners give Comolli and Dalglish after their very average signings this summer? I say we need around 75mil for 3 great players to fill the holes of striker, winger, and quality midfielder.
Great show as usual, but what happened to the Woy vs Rafa fist fight?
Great podcast, good honest views. What worries me with the Reds is they don`t seem to learn from their mistakes. Do they analyse vids of the game? Classic example is Adam. Time after time he gives free kicks away by coming in the back of players. Time after time he carries the ball too far. These are professionals that can`t make decisions . baffles me! Downing is the one trick pony always thought he was.Kenny also needs to sit in the stands to appreciate the teams mistakes. They continually cut in from the wings when there is acres of space wide.Lack of movement in a lot of games is also an issue. Luis Suarez is suffering because there are players around him not on the same level. That was evident when he first started.Solutions lie elsewhere , the squad is still lacking in qulaity.
Been listening since episode 1 lads and have always loved the show. May not agree with everyone all the time but that’s natural.
But very disappointed that nobody had a go at Northcroft for the Saurez / Pinochet comparison. (Assuming its the same jurno). What’s the story there?
Will keep listening and telling my mates to get on it. JTF96.
Great podcast though I’d echo the sentiment above that there are maybe too many voices for 1 podcast – maybe rotate 4 in each week.
Always good to hear Neil assert his point of view over the apologists. Worth the download on its own.
Loved this weeks podcast, one of the all time greats, the Hodgson / Rafa meeting was pure comic genius.
Contrary to others i like the 8-14 people free for all, there is a serendipity to this format that makes the pod IMO, this would be lost if the numbers were reduced and as now you are going to be on the radio with reduced numbers it will help keep the formats different.
Good luck with the radio gig, although with the first hat-trick for 77 years to disect I am sure there will be plenty of blue noses hanging onto every word.
A fine prediction Mr Heaton.
