IT’S the morning after the Reds won 5-0 at Burton Albion to progress to the third round of the League Cup. So is Jürgen Klopp still in the market after that? Here is the latest transfer gossip.

Reds Enquire About Rodriguez

James Rodriguez was the top scorer of the 2014 World Cup, and now he’s being linked with a move to Merseyside. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Colombian is free to leave Real Madrid this summer, after failing to break into Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the season.

Rodriguez is valued at around 60million euros and, although it is believed Arsenal and Chelsea are leading the chase to sign him, reports suggest that Liverpool have enquired about the player’s demands.

Pinch of salt, but hard not to a bit get excited by that. Would be massive.

Everton In For Balotelli

This is mad. Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla is reporting that Everton have been offered Mario Balotelli, and that they may be interested in signing the player. My word.

It was previously rumoured that the Blues were looking at Christian Benteke, who eventually secured a move to Crystal Palace, meaning they are still in the market for a striker.

Imagine.

Palermo Fans Want Balo

One set of fans that definitely want Liverpool’s misfit striker are Palermo’s. And it seems there Club President has welcomed a move for the striker, according to Gazzetta World.

Maurizio Zamparini said: “Balotelli has not been offered to us but I don’t believe it would solely be a matter of finance because I think they need to sell. If (Mino) Raiola does propose him to us then we could start talking, why not. I could be like a father to Balotelli.”

Go ‘ed then, lads.

Liverpool Not Interested In Hart

The Daily Mail are reporting that Joe Hart is not on Liverpool’s radar despite recent reports that have linked him with a move to the club.

The Reds have already signed two keepers this summer in Loris Karius, who looks set to be their new number one, and Alex Manninger, an experienced backup.

Thank god for that.
