Something struck me listening to the podcast tonight. There were a lot of positive comments. Whether it be the early season fitness, the timetable of the tour, the way we’re dealing with Suarez or the players that have come in we seem to be going about things in the right way. I could go on with points unrelated to this podcast such as the way the squad seems more honed, i.e. less dead wood on high wages etc, the way Rodgers adapted in the second half of the season, the stadium developments, the transfer committee and the way they’ve gone about their business, the way we dealt with the Suarez bite compared with the Evra thing. The list is becoming endless.
My point is, after a difficult season where fans didn’t know what to think be it American owners, a rookie manager or Ian Ayre, I think it’s clear some of us have over reacted about the state the club is in. We seem to be going in the right direction at last. Let’s all put the past behind us and get behind the team / club again. If something goes wrong then let’s say it but let’s not try and anticipate things going wrong and continue this negativity we’ve seen every day on Twitter. Onwards and upwards innit.
