Everyone seems to forget that kenny oversaw the single worst transfer spend in the clubs history. The guy is a relic in management terms and was stuck in the 90s. Too much sky sports and golf.
Any other manager who wasted cash, including rafa, who , lets face it is a real manager and not just a Pom Pom girl who gees up from the sidelines, was attacked and put down on a regular basis. How was Kennys spend any different from souness or hodgsons?
People worship kenny cause of his status and amazing direction during the darkest days, but that does not render him immune to rightful criticism.
Had rafa taken over when kenny did, you can bet your bottom dollar that at least half of the purchases from a 100m plus spend would now be first teamers and we would be in a much better situation .Rodgers purchases have already wiped the floor with Kennys yet people still hark back to poor, hard done by kenny.
Kenny wasted a lot of money, behaved like a stubborn old goat and proved himself so out of touch and the sack was the only option. He improved no players, in fact most of them got worse under him. There were no visible tactics on show for half the games and downing and Carroll rarely played together after blowing 55m on the pair.
People need to wake up and take off those red tinted glasses. If kenny is bitter, that just highlights how deluded he is.
Long live buck Rodgers and the new breed. Happy golfing kenny.
Lowest quality Anfield Wrap that I can remember. It’s tough to put out 2 good shows a week, but still…up your game, please!!
Paul Dalglish is an embarrassment. I’d like to think if I’d led such a charmed life, I wouldn’t be so incredibly bitter about it.
Thought Paul Dalglish spoke a bit of sense for once.
Plus I liked both songs.
There.
