Great episode with some great points about how the club is run.
I cannot fathom that we’re supposedly entertaining the idea of selling Agger (injury prone or not), especially to a potential rival.
Yet Cole, Carragher, Adam, Downing, Henderson and Spearing stay. Based on last season (With the exception of Adam) who out of those players looks capable of steadying the ship/changing a game as a sub? Not one of them…but the players with a proven STRONG mentality, match-winners, who can impact games are moved on/forced out?
It’ll be an interesting 3 weeks but I can’t help but feel Rodgers and co are adding holes in the ship instead of plugging them. This is why Liverpool never have a good squad because we don’t add to what we have. The quality players come and go and the mediocre players dig-in and stay.
If this is how the club will be run, (ie selling players at peak value regardless of form, commitment etc) then I’ll expect Reina, Suarez, Skrtel and Johnson to all be sold next summer regardless if we get in the champions league or not.

Who could want the lotto ticket Cole any ways. Unmotivated, unfit, cant even last 10 mins in a game. Downing , Adam and Henderson will get us nothing in the transfer market. No one will pay more than £15 mill for that lot combined. Carra is not going out until he outlives yet another manager. Will any EPL team even buy Spearing, maybe for a pair of socks yes! He is a local lad, Liverpool locals wont like it , so wont happen. BTW, it doesn’t matter what we fans outside Liverpool think. We non local fans are not what the locals desire. We are tolerated, not acknowledged. Only good when the club tours our cities, wants to sell shirts or sell LFCTV membership. I think BR should sell all of Rafa’s holdovers and buy his own players. Clean house and start again.

Very interesting Podcast, I agree we are now in a rush to fill gaps made by selling on players and with our first 3 home games v Top teams, it will be a baptism of fire. I think loan players will fit because we need to hit the ground running and these players will already be training and playing this type of system already. Its going to be tough.
